LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 236 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time infections to 65,693.

Out of the 65,693 all time cases, 61,457 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1,163 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3073 active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, #Coronavirusnigeria.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-142, Ogun-19, Kaduna-15, FCT-14, Imo-14, Rivers-14, Plateau-6, Katsina-3, Ekiti-2, Jigawa-2, Oyo-2, Cross River-1, Kano-1 and Taraba-1, making a total of 236 new cases of coronavirus.

There are now 56, 051, 621 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 345, 851 patients are already dead, while 35, 969, 779 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 18, 735, 991 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University(JHU), Maryland.

According to JHU, the United States has retained the rank of the most afflicted country of all time, reporting 11,468, 739 cases, 249, 935 deaths, while 4, 293, 640 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the US with 6, 925, 164 active cases of Coronavirus(169,001 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 8, 912, 907 all time cases, 130, 993 patients have passed on, while 8, 335, 109 others have been able to survive the pandemic, leaving India with 446, 805 active cases of Coronavirus. Brazil remains the third most afflicted country, reporting 5, 911, 758 confirmed cases, 166, 699 deaths, while 5, 358, 299 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 386, 760 active cases of Coronavirus(35, 294 new cases).

France remains the 4^th country most affected by the virus, reporting 2, 115, 492 total infections, 46, 771 deaths and 150,966 recoveries, leaving France with 1, 917, 755 active cases of Coronavirus(74, 175 new cases), followed by Russia which has reported 1, 975,629 all time infections, 34, 068 deaths, while 1, 489, 893 patients have been able to survive the pandemic, leaving Russia with 451, 668 active cases of Coronavirus(20, 717 new cases) and Spain which has listed 1, 525, 341 all time cases, 42, 039 patients are already dead, 150, 376 has remained the constant figure that recovered in the last 6 months. Spain is however left with 1, 332, 926 patients still sick and in urgent need of medical attention(15, 318 new cases).

The United Kingdom has remained the 7^th country worst hit by the infection, reporting 1, 434, 002 confirmed cases, 53, 368 deaths, while only 3, 197 patients have successfully been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 1, 377, 437 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 643 new cases), followed by Argentina which has documented 1, 329, 005 total infections, 36, 106 deaths, while 1, 148, 833 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving the South American country with 144, 066 active cases(10, 621 new cases) and Italy which has reported 1, 272, 352 total infections, 47, 217 deaths and 481,967 recoveries, leaving Italy with 743, 168 patients still hoping for the best of care to get back on their feet(34, 280 new cases).

Colombia is now the 10^th country most affected, reporting 1, 211, 128 all time cases, 34, 381 patients have died, while 1, 118, 902 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Colombia with 57, 845 active cases of Coronavirus(5, 911 new cases) and South Africa now the 16^th country worst hit, reporting 757, 144 total infections so far, 20, 556 deaths and 701, 534 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 35,054 active cases of Coronavirus(2888 new cases).
