LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 223 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 63, 731.
But out of the 63,731 all time cases, 59,844 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,154 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2733 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-85, Abuja-35, Akwa Ibom-24, Enugu-18, Plateau-13, Rivers-10, Abia-7, Ebonyi-6, Anambra-5, Adamawa-4, Bauchi-3, Imo-3, Ogun-3, Oyo-3, Kwara-2, Osun-1 and Taraba-1, making a total of 223 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are presently 49,129,326 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 239,896 people have been killed by the Coronavirus pandemic, while 32,344, 603 others have recovered. There are now 15, 544, 827 active cases of Coronavirus globally, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the worst hit, reporting 9, 678, 826 confirmed cases, 235, 541 patients are already dead, while 3, 781, 751 others have recovered, leaving the United States with 5, 661, 534 active cases of Coronavirus(134, 511 new cases), followed by India, which has reported 8, 411, 724 confirmed cases, 124, 985 deaths, while 7, 765,966 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 520, 773 active cases of Coronavirus(47, 638 new cases) and Brazil which has documented 5, 612,319 confirmations, 161,736 deaths and 5, 102,762 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 347, 821 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 294 new cases).
Russia now stands as the 4th country most affected, reporting 1, 720, 063 confirmations, 29, 654 deaths and 1, 288, 096 recoveries, leaving Russia with 402, 313 patients on sick bed, hoping for the best of medical care to get back on their feet(20, 368 new cases), followed by France which has reported 1, 709, 475 confirmed cases, 39, 016 patients are already dead, while 131, 810 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving France with 1, 538, 649 active cases of Coronavirus(60, 954 new cases) and Spain which has reported 1, 328, 832 confirmations, 38, 833 patients have given up the ghost, while about 150, 376 others have since been discharged, leaving Spain with 1, 139, 623 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 516 new cases).
Argentina is next as the 7th country worst hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 1, 217, 028 confirmed cases, 32, 766 deaths and 1,030,137 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 152, 125 patients in need of urgent medical attention(11, 100 new cases), followed by the United Kingdom which has suffered the highest casualty in Europe. The United Kingdom has documented 1, 149,788 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 48, 565 patients have been killed by the virus, while only 2, 949 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the UK with 1, 098, 274 patients down with the Coronavirus pandemic, hoping for the best of medical attention to survive the pandemic (47, 460 new cases).
Colombia has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 1, 117, 977 confirmed cases, 32, 209 patients have passed on, while 1, 011, 166 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Colombia with 74, 602 active cases of Coronavirus(9, 891 new cases), followed by Mexico which has reported 949,197 confirmations, 93, 772 deaths, 809, 063 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 46, 362 active cases of Coronavirus(5, 567 new cases) and Italy which has reported 862, 681 cases since the outset of the pandemic, 40, 638 patients have passed on while 322, 925 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 499, 118 patients in need of medical care to get back on their feet(37, 802 new cases).
South Africa which has documented 734, 175 confirmations, 19, 749 deaths, while 675,593 others have survived the pandemic, leaving South Africa with 38, 833 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 627 new cases).
