LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 113 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases in the country to 62,224.
But out of the 62,224 all time cases, 57,916 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,135 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3135 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-51, Abuja-15, Plateau-11, Kaduna-8, Oyo-8, Rivers-8 , Ogun-4, Edo-2, Imo-2 , Kwara-2, Delta-1 and Kano-1, making a total of 113 new cases of Coronavirus.
“NCDC@NCDCgov113 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-51, FCT-15, Plateau-11, Kaduna-8, Oyo-8, Rivers-8 , Ogun-4, Edo-2, Imo-2 , Kwara-2, Delta-1 and Kano-1; 62,224 confirmed ;57,916 discharged; 1,135 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.
There are presently 43, 814, 324 confirmed cases worldwide, 1, 163, 938 patients have died from the Coronavirus pandemic, while 29, 278,026 others have recovered. There are now 13, 372, 360 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on current statistics supplied by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted with 8, 759, 939 confirmed cases, 226, 436 deaths, while 3, 460, 455 patients have recovered, leaving the United States with 5, 073, 048 active cases of Coronavirus(72, 650 new cases), followed by India with 7, 946, 429 confirmations, 119, 502 patients have died while 7, 201, 070 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 625, 857 active cases of Coronavirus(36, 470 new cases) and Brazil which has confirmed 5, 409, 854 cases, 157, 397 patients have been killed by the virus, while 4, 526, 393 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 726, 064 patients hoping for the best of medical care to get back on their feet(15, 726 new cases).

Russia remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 1, 537, 142 confirmed cases, 26, 409 patients have been killed by the virus, while 1, 152, 848 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 357, 885 active cases of Coronavirus, (16, 342 new cases) followed by France with 1, 242, 923 confirmations, 35, 575 deaths, while 117, 333 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 1, 090, 015 patients on sick bed, hoping for the best to get out of their current predicament(33, 999 new cases) and Spain which has documented 1, 116, 738 confirmed cases, 35, 298 deaths, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 931, 064 active cases of Coronavirus(18, 418 new cases).
Argentina has come up as the 7th country worst hit by Coronavirus, reporting 1, 102, 301 confirmations, 29, 301 patients are already dead, while 909, 586 others have recovered, leaving Argentina with 163, 414 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 712 new cases), followed by Colombia with 1, 025, 052 confirmed cases, 30, 348 deaths and 924, 044 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 70, 660 active cases of Coronavirus(9,167 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has documented 920, 661 confirmed cases, 45, 455 deaths, while only 2, 717 patients have been lucky to survive the pandemic despite advance medical care, leaving the United Kingdom with 872, 489 Coronavirus patients (22, 924 new cases).
Mexico remains the 10th country worst hit by Coronavirus with 895, 326 confirmations, 89, 171 deaths while 760, 259 patients now have a clean slate, leaving Mexico with 42, 896 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 166 new cases) and South Africa, coming in as the 12th country worst hit with 717, 851 confirmed cases, 19, 053 deaths and 647, 833 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 50,965 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 092 new cases) and Italy 14th country worst hit with 564,778 confirmed cases, 37, 700 patients are no more, while 271, 988 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 255, 090 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 989 new cases).
