Coronavirus: Nigeria 111 new cases 7277 as cases degenerate in Colombia

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 111 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 60,103.

Out of the 60,103 all time cases,  51,711 patients have been discharged, while  1,115  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7, 277 active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Plateau-32, Lagos-23, Abuja-15, Osun-11, Ogun-9, Oyo-6, Imo-4, Bauchi-3, Kaduna-3, Yobe-3, Rivers-2, making a total of 111 new cases of Coronavirus.

“NCDC@NCDCgov 111 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Plateau-32, Lagos-23, FCT-15, Osun-11, Ogun-9, Oyo-6, Imo-4, Bauchi-3, Kaduna-3, Yobe-3,  Rivers-2; 60,103 confirmed 51,711 discharged 1,115 deaths”, the NCDC  said in a statement.

Meanwhile, confirmed cases of the Coronavirus pandemic have surpassed the 37 million mark. Specifically, there are now 37, 046, 590  confirmed cases, 1, 070, 275 deaths, while 25,714, 992 people have survived the virus, leaving the world with 10, 261,  323 active cases of Coronavirus, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected, reporting a total of 7, 702, 783  all time cases,  214, 171 people have died from the virus, while 3, 039, 089 others  have survived, leaving the United States with 4, 449, 523 active cases of Coronavirus(57, 481 new cases), followed by  India, which has reported 6,979,423 cases over a period of time, 107, 416 deaths and 5, 988, 822 recoveries, leaving India to contend with 883, 185 patients to assist medically to get back on their feet(73, 272 new cases) and Brazil which has confirmed 5, 055, 888 cases, 149, 639 patients have lost their lives, while 4, 502, 854 others have been discharged, leaving Brazil with 403, 395 active cases of Coronavirus(27, 444 new cases).

Russia remains the 4^th country most hit by the virus with  1, 278, 245  all time cases, 22, 231 patients have passed on while  1, 011, 911 others have overcome the virus, leaving Russia with 244, 103 patients to treat for Coronavirus(12, 873 new cases), followed by Colombia with 984, 300  confirmed cases, 27, 495 lives have been lost, while 780,547  others have recovered, leaving  Colombia with 176, 258   active cases of the pandemic(98, 121 new cases)  and Argentina, which  has confirmed 871, 468  cases over time,   23,225   patients have given up the ghost, while 697, 141   others have overcome the disease, leaving Argentina with 151, 102 active cases of the pandemic(15, 099 new cases).

Spain, now the 7^th country most hit has documented 861, 468 cases over time, 32, 929 deaths and 150, 376  recoveries, leaving Spain with 678, 163 active cases of Coronavirus(356 new cases), followed by  Peru with 843, 355  confirmed cases, 33, 158  patients are no more, while  733,000 others have recovered, leaving Peru with 77, 197 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 741 new cases), followed by  Mexico with 810, 020 all time cases,  83, 497 deaths and  687, 123 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 39, 400 patients in need of medical attention to get back on their feet(5, 432 new cases).

France has been pushed to the 10^th country most hit by the virus, reporting 732, 434 cases over time, 32, 601 patients have lost their lives, while 103, 232  others  have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 596, 601   active cases of Coronavirus(391 new cases), followed by South Africa, which has documented 690, 896 all time cases, 17, 673 people have lost their lives, while 622,153  others have recovered,  leaving South Africa with 51, 070 active cases of Coronavirus(4,005 new cases), followed by the United Kingdom, which  has reported 593,563  all time cases,  42, 850 deaths, while only 2, 495 patients have been able to overcome  the pandemic, leaving the United Kingdom with 548, 218 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 179 new cases)  and  Italy, now 17 among the countries worst hit by the virus with 349, 494  all time cases, 36, 140 patients have kicked the bucket, while  238, 525 others have been able to survive the virus, leaving Italy with 74, 829  active cases of Coronavirus(5, 724 new cases) and China, now  the 46^th  country most affected with 90, 757  all time cases, 4, 739 deaths, while 85, 641 others have recovered, leaving China with 377 active cases of Coronavirus.
