LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 123 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing all time cases to 59,841.

But out of the 59,841 confirmed cases, 51,551 patients have been discharged, while 1,113 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7177 active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, #coronavirusngr.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-39, Rivers-21, Abuja-19, Oyo-6, Kaduna-4, Bauchi-3, Ogun-3, Imo-2, Kano-2 , Benue-1, Edo-1, Nasarawa-1 and Plateau-1, making 103 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Worldwide, confirmed cases of Coronavirus now stand at 36, 353,763 with 1, 053, 764 others already dead, while 25, 295,543 others have been able to overcome the virus, the Centre for System Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected, reporting 7, 591,519 cases, 212, 466 deaths and 2, 999,895 recoveries, leaving the United States with 4, 379, 158 active cases of Coronavirus(57, 543 new cases), followed by India with 6, 835, 655 all time cases, 105, 526 patients are no more while 5, 827, 704 others have been discharged, leaving India with 902, 425 patients to assist to recover from the pandemic, (78, 524 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 5, 000, 694 cases since the first case was reported, 148, 228 deaths and 4, 457,172 others have been discharged, leaving Brazil with 395, 294 active cases of Coronavirus(31, 553 new cases).

Russia remains the 4^th most affected country with 1, 253, 603 cases, 21, 931 deaths while 998, 197 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Russia with 233, 475 patients hoping for the best of medical attention to get back on their feet(11, 345 new cases), followed by Colombia with 877, 684 all time cases, 27, 180 patients have passed on while 773, 973 others have overcome the pandemic(7, 876 new cases) and Spain, which has documented 848, 324 cases, 32, 688 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 665, 260 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 423 new cases).

Argentina has come up as the 7^th country worst hit with 840, 915 all time cases, 22, 226 lives have been lost to the virus, while 670, 725 others have survived the ailment, leaving Argentina with 147, 964 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 447 new cases), followed by Peru with 835, 662 confirmed cases, 33,009 deaths, while 723, 606 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Peru with 79, 047 coronavirus patients hoping for the best to get back on their feet(2, 733 new cases) and Mexico with 799, 188 cases over time, 82, 726 deaths and 679, 693 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 36, 769 active cases of the Coronavirus pandemic(4, 580 new cases).

France now stands as the 10^th country worst hit by the virus with 711,704 confirmed cases, 32, 539 patients are no more, while 102, 542 others have overcome the virus, leaving France with 576, 623 patients to assist to regain their health(18, 264 new cases), followed by South Africa, which has documented 686, 981 cases, 17,248 deaths, while 618, 127 others have been cured, leaving South Africa with 51, 606 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 739 new cases), and the United Kingdom with 564, 501 confirmed cases, 42, 682 patients have lost their lives, while only 2, 458 patients have recovered, leaving the U.K with 519, 361 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 552 new cases).

Iran comes next as 13^th country worst hit with 488, 236 all time cases, 27, 888 patients have been killed, while 399,300 others have regained their health, leaving Iran with 61, 048 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 392 new cases).
