Coronavirus: Nigeria 136 new and 8565 active as China battles with 369 cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 136 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, making a total of 58, 460.
But out of the 58, 460 all time cases, 49, 895 others have recovered, while 1, 111 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8, 565 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-71, Rivers-23, Plateau-12, Adamawa-6, Oyo-6, Kaduna-5, Abia-3, Abuja-3, Katsina-2, Kwara-2, Bauchi-1, Borno-1 and Edo-1, making a total of 136 new cases of #coronavirusngr.

“NCDC@NCDCgov136 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-71, Rivers-23, Plateau-12, Adamawa-6, Oyo-6, Kaduna-5, Abia-3, FCT-3, Katsina-2, Kwara-2, Bauchi-1, Borno-1 and Edo-1; 58,460 confirmed 49,895 discharged 1,111 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.
Globally, there are 33, 236, 052 confirmed cases of #Coronavirus, 999,629 deaths, while 22, 980, 342 others have survived the virus, reports the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country with 7, 142, 076 all time cases of Coronavirus, 204, 995 patients have passed on while 2, 766, 304 others have been able to overcome the virus, leaving the United States with 4, 170, 777 active cases of Coronavirus(34, 403 new cases), followed by India with 6, 074, 702 all time cases, 95, 542 people have died as a result of the virus, while 5,016, 520 others have recovered, leaving India with 962, 640 patients to treat for the Coronavirus pandemic(82, 170 new cases) and Brazil with 4, 732, 309 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 141, 741 deaths, while 4, 172, 711 patients have been discharged, leaving Brazil with 417, 857 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 318 new cases).
Russia now the 4th country most afflicted by the virus has reported 1, 154, 299 cases over time, 20, 299 patients have passed on while 942, 619 others have overcome the virus, leaving Russia with 191, 381 active cases of the virus(8,026 new cases), followed by Colombia with 813, 056 all time cases, 25, 488 patients are already dead, while 711, 472 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Colombia with 76, 096 patients to assist medical to get back on their feet(7,018 new cases) and Peru, which has confirmed 805, 302 cases over time, 32, 262 deaths and 664, 490 recoveries, leaving Peru with 108, 550 active cases of Coronavirus(5,160 new cases).
Spain has come up as the 7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 748, 266 confirmed cases, 31, 411 lives have been lost to Coronavirus, while about *150, 376 patients have been discharged, leaving Spain with about 566, 479 active cases of the virus,(31, 785 new cases) followed by Mexico with 730, 317 confirmed cases, 76, 430 patients have kicked the bucket, while 616, 696 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Mexico with 37, 191 Coronavirus patients praying for the right medication to remain alive(3, 886 new cases) and Argentina which has recorded 711, 325 all time cases, 15, 749 patients are no more, while 565, 935 others have been healed, leaving Argentina with 129, 641 active cases of the pandemic(8, 841 new cases).
South Africa has moved down from 6th to the 10th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 671, 669 cases over time, 16, 586 deaths and 604, 478 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 50, 605 active cases of the virus(903 new cases), followed by France with 577, 980 all time cases of Coronavirus, 31, 744 patients are already dead, while 97, 127 others have regained their health, leaving France with 449,109 active cases of the virus(25, 507 new cases) and Chile with 459, 671 confirmed cases, 12, 698 deaths and 433, 016 others have been discharged, leaving Chile with 13, 957 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 770 new cases).
Iran, now 13th in the ranks of countries worst hit by the virus has recorded 449, 960 cases over time, 25, 779 patients are no more, while 376, 531 others have overcome the ailment, leaving Iran with 47, 650 patients down with virus hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(3, 512 new cases), followed by the United Kingdom which has reported 441, 564 cases of Coronavirus over time, 42, 090 patients have died, while only 2, 339 others have been able to recover from the virus since the first cases was reported, leaving the United Kingdom with 397, 135 active cases of the virus(4,048 new cases) and Italy, now the 19th country worst hit in the world has documented 311, 364 cases of Coronavirus over time, 35, 851 deaths, while 225, 190 others have been discharged, leaving Italy with 50,323 active cases of the virus(1,494 new cases).
China, where the virus was first reported now stands as the 42nd country most hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 90, 493 all time cases, 4, 739 lives have been lost since the onset of the virus, 85, 385 others have recovered, leaving China with 369 active cases of Coronavirus.
