LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 601 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing all time cases in the country to 51,905.
Out of the 51,905 cases, 38,767 patients have been discharged, while 997 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 12, 141 Coronavirus patients.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-404, Abuja-37, Oyo-19, Ondo-14, Abia-13, Enugu-13, Kaduna-13, Edo-12, Kano-12, Kwara-11, Ebonyi-10, Nasarawa-7, Ogun-6, Osun-5, Delta-5, Niger-5, Plateau-4, Bayelsa-4, Katsina-3, Ekiti-2 and Imo-2, making a total of 601 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Meanwhile the total confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally has crossed the 23 million mark, while all time deaths has passed 800 based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, there are currently 23, 056, 487 all time cases of Coronavirus in the world, 801, 629 deaths over time while 14, 803, 921 others have been able to overcome the pandemic.

The United States is still in the lead with 5, 660, 719 all time cases, 176, 243 deaths over time, while 1, 985, 484 patients have survived the ailment, leaving the U.S with 3, 498, 992 patients in the hospital(44, 721 new cases), followed by Brazil which has reported 3, 532, 330 cases over time, 113, 358 deaths over time, while 2, 879, 361 others have been healed, leaving Brazil with 539, 611 Coronavirus patients (30, 355 new cases) followed by India, which has reported 2, 975, 701 accumulated cases of the pandemic, 55, 794 deaths since the first cases was reported, while 2, 222, 577 patients have survived, leaving India with 697, 330 patients still on medication in hospital(69, 876 new cases).
Russia is next with 949, 631all time cases, 16, 268 deaths over time, while 765, 754 patients have been able to overcome Coronavirus, leaving Russia with 167, 609 patients to cater for, followed by South Africa with 607, 045 cases recorded over time, 12, 987 accumulated deaths, while 504, 127 patients have been discharged, leaving South Africa with 89, 931 people on treatment for Coronavirus(3, 707 new cases), followed by Peru 576, 067 all time cases, 27, 245 deaths over time, while 380, 730 patients have been given clean bill of health, leaving Peru with 168, 092 patients still battling to survive.
Mexico is 7th in the rank of most affected countries, reporting 549, 734 cases since the first case of Coronavirus was reported in Mexico, 59, 610 deaths over time, while 448, 344 patients have been healed, leaving Mexico with 41, 780 Coronavirus patients(5, 928 new cases), followed by Colombia with 522, 138 cases accumulated over time, 16, 568 deaths over time, while 348, 940 others have recovered, leaving Colombia with 156, 630 patients on treatment for the pandemic and then Chile in the 9th spot, reporting 395, 708 cases over time, 10, 792 deaths accumulated over time, while 369, 730 patients have overcome the ailment, leaving Chile with 15, 186 people in the hospital.
Spain is next with 386, 054 all time cases, 28, 838 deaths over time, while 150, 376 patients have been able to survive, leaving Spain with 206, 840 Coronavirus patients, followed by Iran(11) with 356, 792 all time cases, 20, 502 deaths over time, while 307, 702 patients have been given clean bill of health, leaving Iran with 28, 588 Coronavirus patients(2, 028 new cases), followed by Argentina, which has documented 329, 043 all time cases, 6, 795 deaths over time, while 245, 781 patients have been discharged, leaving Argentina with 76, 467 patients to treat for the pandemic.

The United Kingdom which has been pushed to number 13 in the league has documented 326, 559 cases since the first case of Coronavirus was reported, 41, 509 accumulated deaths, while only 1, 545 patients have been cured, leaving the U.K with 283, 505 Coronavirus patients(1, 320 new cases), followed by France(17) with 275, 562 all time cases, 30, 517 deaths over time, while 85,102 patients have been discharged, leaving France with 159, 943 people to treat for the pandemic(3,657 new cases) and then Italy with 258, 136 all time cases, 35, 430 deaths over time, while 205, 203 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Italy with 17, 503 patients on drugs for the pandemic(1,071 new cases) and then China where Coronavirus was first reported.
Now pushed to the 33rd spot in the league, China has reported 89, 642 accumulated cases of the pandemic, 4, 710 deaths over time, while 83, 869 patients have overcome the ailment, leaving China with 1, 063 current cases of Coronavirus.
