LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 566 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 25,133.
But out of the 25, 133 cases, 9,402 patients have recovered and therefore discharged while 573 others could not make it alive.
However, a breakdown of the 566 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria shows that 166 cases were found in Lagos, 66 in Oyo, 53 in Delta, 43 in Ebonyi, 34 in Plateau, 32 in Ondo, 26 in Abuja, 25 in Ogun, 24 in Edo, 15 in Imo, 13 in Bayelsa, 12 in Benue, 11 in Gombe, 11 in Kano, 11 in Kaduna, 8 in Osun, 7 in Nasarawa, 5 in Borno, 2 in Katsina and 2 in Anambra, making a total of the 566 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Globally, there are 10, 393, 467 cases of Coronavirus, while 508,392 patients have been killed by the pandemic based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States still remains the lead among the most affected nations, reporting 2, 623, 217 confirmed cases, while 127,258 others are dead; 59, 054 new cases and 1,300 deaths in the last 24 hours, followed by Brazil, which has documented 1, 368, 195 cases, while 58,314 others could not make it alive; 24,052 new cases and 692 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Russia, the most affected country in Europe has documented 646,929 confirmed cases, while 9, 306 patients have been killed by the pandemic, followed by India, with 566,840 confirmed cases while 16,893 patients have passed on; 18, 522 new cases and 418 deaths in the last 24 hours, followed by the United Kingdom, which has suffered the most casualty in Europe.
The United Kingdom has documented 314, 159 confirmed cases with 43, 815 deaths; 692 new cases and 156 deaths in the last 24 hours, followed by Peru, which has recorded 385, 213 cases of the pandemic, while 9,677 patients have died from the virus. Chile is next with a total of 278, 393 confirmed cases, while 5, 688 people could not make it alive.
Spain, the next most affected country has documented 249, 279 confirmed cases while 28, 355 others have been killed by the pandemic, followed by Italy, which has documented 240, 578 cases of the Coronavirus pandemic, while 34, 767 others could not make it alive.
Next is China, which has been pushed into the 22nd spot among most affected nations in the world. China has documented 84, 782 confirmed cases, 4,641 deaths, while 79, 622 people have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving China with 519, up by 13 new cases in the last 24 hours but no death.
