LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 571 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number in the country to 32, 558 cases.
Out of the 32, 558 cases, 13, 447 Nigerians have been discharged, while 740 others have passed on, leaving the country with 18, 371 active cases of #coronavirus
Breakdown of the 571 new cases is as follows: Lagos-152, Ebonyi-108, Edo-53, Ondo-46, Abuja-38, Oyo-20, Kwara-19, Plateau-17, Osun-14, Bayelsa-14, Ekiti-14, Katsina-14, Akwa Ibom-11, Kaduna-11, Rivers-11, Niger-10, Ogun-7, Kano-6, Cross River-4 and Bauchi-2, making a total of 571 new cases.

Globally, there are currently 12, 826, 729 confirmed cases, 567, 123 patients have passed on while 7,061, 896 others have recovered based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains in the lead among the most affected countries in the world, reporting 3, 292, 934 cases, 135, 140 deaths, while 1,006, 326 Americans have recovered; leaving America with 2, 151, 468 active cases(53,638 new cases in the last 24 hours), followed by Brazil, which has documented 1, 839, 850 cases, 72, 100 deaths, while 1, 244, 088 patients have recovered, leaving the state with 761, 424 active cases of the pandemic(39, 023 news in the last 24 hours)
India is next with 849, 553 confirmed cases, 22,674 deaths, while 534, 621 Indians have recovered, leaving India with 292, 258 active cases(28,637 new cases in the last 24 hours), followed by Russia with 726, 036 cases, 11, 318 deaths, while 500, 208 others have been discharged, leaving Russia with 214, 510 actives cases of the pandemic, followed by Peru with 326, 326 documented cases, 11, 870 deaths, while 217, 111 Peruvians have been discharged, leaving Peru with 97, 345 active cases.
Chile is next with 315, 041 cases documented, 6,979 deaths, while 283, 902 patients have been discharged, leaving Chile with 24, 160 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by Mexico with 295,268 confirmed cases, 34, 730 deaths, while 229, 856 others have recovered, leaving Mexico with 30, 682 cases, followed by the United Kingdom reporting 291, 154 cases, 44, 904 deaths, while only 1, 378 patients have recovered, leaving the U.K with 244, 872 active cases of the pandemic.
Next is South Africa, which has shot into the top 9 most affected countries, reporting 276, 242 cases, 4,079 deaths, while 134,874 South Africans have been discharged, leaving the state with 137, 289 active cases of the pandemic, (12,058 new cases in the last 24 hours), followed by Iran with 257, 303 cases, 12, 829 deaths, while 219, 993 Iranians have recovered, leaving Iran with 24, 481 active cases, followed by Spain, which has reported 253, 908 cases, 28, 403 deaths, while 150, 376 others have been discharged, leaving Spain with 75, 129 active cases of the pandemic.
Pakistan is next with 248, 872 documented cases, 5, 197 deaths, while 156, 700 Pakistanis have been discharged, leaving Pakistan with 86, 975 active cases, followed by Italy with 243, 061 confirmed cases, 34, 954 deaths, while 194, 928 Italians have recovered, leaving Italy with 13, 179 active cases, followed by Saudi Arabia with 232, 259 cases, 2,181 deaths, while 167, 138 others have been discharged, leaving the Holy City with 62, 940 active cases.
Turkey, has documented 212,993 cases, 5, 363 deaths, while 194,515 others have recovered, leaving Turkey with 13, 115 active cases, followed by France with 208, 015 cases, 30,007 deaths, while 78, 513 others have recovered, leaving France with 99, 495 active cases and then Germany which has documented 199, 919 cases, 9,071 deaths, while 184, 414 Germans have recovered, leaving the state with 6,434 active cases and then China, which has documented 85, 109 cases, 4,641 deaths, while 79,893 Chinese have been discharged, leaving China with 575 active cases of Coronavirus.
