LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 664 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number to 31, 987.
Out of the 31, 987 cases, 13,103 patients have been discharged, while 724 others have died, leaving Nigeria with 17, 276 active cases.
Breakdown of the 664 new cases is as follows: Lagos-224, FCT-105, Edo-85, Ondo-64, Kaduna-32 , Imo-27, Osun-19, Plateau-17, Oyo-17, Ogun-17, Rivers-14, Delta-11, Adamawa-10 , Enugu-7, Nassarawa-6, Gombe-3, Abia-3 and Ekiti-3, making a total of 664 new cases.

Globally, there are 12,621, 296 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 562, 634 others have been killed by the pandemic, while 6, 965,456 others have recovered, based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
The centre reports that the United States continues to maintain lead among nations most affected by the pandemic, reporting 3, 239, 296 cases, while 134, 712 Americans have died, 995, 576 others have recovered, leaving the U.S. with 2, 109, 008 active cases of the pandemic, followed by Brazil which has documented 1, 800, 827 cases, 70, 398 deaths, while 1, 236, 436 Brazilians have recovered, leaving Brazil with 493, 993 active cases.
India is next with 820, 916 confirmed cases, 22, 123 deaths, while 515, 386 Indians have recovered, leaving India with 283, 407 active cases; followed by Russia with 719, 449 confirmed cases, 11, 188 deaths, while 496, 594 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 211, 667 active cases, followed by Peru with 322, 710 confirmed cases, 11, 682 deaths, while 214, 152 Peruvians have recovered, leaving Peru with 96, 876 active cases.
Chile is next with 312, 029 confirmed cases, 6, 881 deaths, while 281, 114 others have recovered, leaving Chile with 24, 034 active cases, followed by the United Kingdom which has documented 290,502 confirmed cases, 44, 883 deaths, while only 1,378 people have recovered, leaving the U.K with 244, 241 active cases.
Mexico is next with 289, 174 confirmed cases, 34, 191deaths, while 225, 356 Mexicans have recovered, leaving Mexico with 29, 627 active cases, followed by South Africa with 264, 184 confirmed cases, 3, 971 deaths while 127, 715 others have recovered, leaving South Africa with 132, 498 active cases of Coronavirus.
Iran is next with 255, 117 confirmed cases, 12, 635 deaths, while 217, 666 Iranians have recovered, leaving Iran with 24, 816 active cases, followed by Spain with 253, 908 documented cases, 24, 403 deaths, while 150, 376 people have recovered, leaving Spain with 79, 129 active cases, followed by Pakistan which has documented 246, 351 cases, 5, 123 deaths, while 153, 134 others have recovered, leaving the state with 88,094 active cases of Coronavirus.
Italy is next with 242, 827 confirmed cases, 34, 945 deaths, while 194, 579 Italians have been discharged, leaving Italy with 13, 303 active cases, followed by Saudi Arabia with 229, 480 confirmed cases, 2, 181 deaths while 165, 396 people have recovered, leaving the state with 61, 903 active cases of the pandemic, followed by Turkey, which has documented 211, 981 cases, 5, 344 deaths, while 193, 217 others have recovered, leaving the state with 13, 420 active cases, followed by France with 201, 015 confirmed cases of the virus, 30,007 deaths while 78, 513 others have been discharged, leaving France with 92,495 active cases.
China, where the pandemic was first reported has documented 85,067 cases, 4, 641 deaths while 79, 865 Chinese have been discharged, leaving China with 561 active cases of Coronavirus, John Hopkins University has reported.
