Novak Jokovic, Dimitrov test positive to Coronavirus
CROATIA – Serbian born world no 1 lawn tennis champion, Novak Jokovic has tested positive to the deadly Coronavirus.
Novak Jokovic, the first Serbian to be ranked No 1 by ATP has won 17 grand slam single titles and tested positive after the Serbian tour he organised during the Coronvirus pandemic in Serbia and Croatia.
Reporting on the development, AFP said the tennis star Novak Djokovic tested positive for the coronavirus after taking part in a tennis exhibition series he organized in Serbia and Croatia.
AFP reported that Djokovic is the fourth player to test positive for the virus after playing in the exhibitions games.
Also speaking, Grigo Dimitrov who was also took part in the series said he has also tested positive appealed to everyone who has come into contact with him to go for test.
“Hi Everyone-I want to reach out and let my fans and friends know that I tested positive back in Monaco for Covid-19.
“I want to make sure anyone who has been in contact with me during these past days gets tested and takes the necessary precautions. I am so sorry for any harm I might have caused. I am back home now and recovering. Thanks for your support and please stay safe and healthy. GD”, he said.
