Dbanj opens up on alleged rape by Seyitan Babatayo
Says allegation a slap on marriage, beautiful wife

LAGOS, Nigeria -Popular Nigerian musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, better known as Dbanj has broken his silence over allegation of rape leveled against him by Seyitan Babatayo.
In a statement, Dbanj described the allegations as lies from the pit of hell. Although, Seyitan Babatayo, who was arrested has been released, the musician, through his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome chambers, wrote Ojoge, Omileye and Partners, lawyers to Babatayo demanding the sum of N100 million and an unresolved apology or be prepared for a full fledged legal battle.
Seyitan Babatayo had alleged that Dbanj raped her at Glee Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos in December 31, 2018 after gaining access into her private room with an extra key card at about 3 am.
In public Statement, the musician said he chose to go the legal way because the incident is nothing but a slap to his marriage, his beautiful wife, his entire family and those who believe in him.
“I did not want to dignify the slurs with a response but it appears my silence has empowered my accusers to think I have been scared into the shadows so I would like to state that This Accusation are false and ludicrous and Have been handed over to my Legal Team, while the Nigerian Police is Investigating the Criminal aspect of it”, he said, adding “today is exactly 1 week after my birthday and this will be the only time I will address the recent false allegations and lies from the pit of hell. I have chosen to do so because the incident is a slap to my marriage and my beautiful wife, my entire family and those who believe in me.
