BENUE, Nigeria -The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has reacted to the arrest of Ms. Mnena Ato, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Star Shawarma in Benue State.
In a statement, Head, Media and Publicity, Mr. Dele Oyewale said the EFCC is committed to professional best practices and that the commission has commenced investigation into the arrest of Star Shawarma MD made by its officers at a pastry farm.
He said it is not in the character of the EFCC to act arbitrarily and the Commission is always guided by global best practices in its operations.

He assured members of the public of its commitment to best professional practices and excellent conduct of all its men and officers in the quest to pursue its mandate of ridding the nation of economic and financial crimes and that appropriate sanctions would be placed on whoever is found to have acted out of character regarding the arrest of Star Shawarma MD in Benue.
