Coronavirus in Nigeria: 387 new, 9302 cases, 38, 243 dead in UK
LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 387 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 9302.
Out of the 9302 confirmed cases in Nigeria, 2697 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, while 261 others have died.
However, a breakdown of the 387 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria showed that 254 cases were found in Lagos, 29 in Abuja, 24 in Jigawa, 22 in Edo, 15 in Oyo, 14 in Rivers, 11 in Kaduna, 6 in Borno, 3 in Kano, 2 in Plateau, 2 in Yobe, 2 in Gombe, 2 in Bauchi and 1 in Ondo.

Globally, there are currently 5, 885, 490 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 363, 031 patients are dead based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States still remains in the lead among the most affected countries in the world. The U.S currently has 1, 740,599 confirmed cases, while 102, 516 patients have died.
Trailing the U.S is Brazil, which has reported 438, 238 confirmed cases with 26, 754 deaths, followed by Russia, which now has 387, 623 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 4,374 deaths.
The United Kingdom has confirmed 272, 606 cases, while 38, 243 patients have passed on, the highest in Europe.
Next is Spain, which has reported 238, 564 confirmed cases with 27, 121 deaths, followed by Italy, which has reported 232, 248 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 33, 229 patients have died.
China where the Coronavirus pandemic was first reported has 84, 119 confirmed cases with 4, 638 deaths, while 79, 380 patients have recovered, leaving China with just 101 cases, up by 3 new cases.
