Coronavirus in Nigeria: 265 new, 2174, China 111 cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease(NCDC) has confirmed 265 new cases of Coronavirus bringing the total number of Coronavirus in Nigeria to 7526.
But out of the total number of 7526 cases, 2174 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, while 221 patients are not lucky to make it alive.
However, a breakdown of the 265 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria shows that 133 cases were found in Lagos, 34 in Oyo, 28 in Edo, 23 in Ogun, 22 in Abuja, 6 in Plateau, 5 in Kaduna, 3 in Borno, 3 in Niger, 2 in Kwara, 2 in Bauchi, 2 in Anambra and 2 in Enugu.

Globally, there are currently 5, 282, 370 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 340, 653 are dead based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States still leads among the most affected nations in terms of population affected and the total number of death.
The United States currently has 1, 618, 471 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 96, 983 patients have died, followed by Russia, currently the most affected country in Europe based on the population affected.
Russia has reported 335, 882 confirmed cases with 3, 388 deaths, followed by Brazil, which currently has 330, 890 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 21, 048 patients have passed on. Next is the United Kingdom, which has suffered the highest number of deaths through the virus.
The United Kingdom currently has 258, 504 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 36, 757 patients have died.
Next to the UK in the league of most affected nations is Spain, which currently has 235, 290 confirmed cases with 28, 678 deaths, followed by Italy which has reported 229, 327 confirmed cases while 32, 735 patients were not lucky to make it alive.
China where Coronavirus was first reported has been pushed to the spot of 14th most affected country globally.
There are currently 84,081 confirmed cases of the virus, 4, 638 deaths, while 79, 332 patients have recovered, leaving China with just 111 cases of Coronavirus.
