Coronavirus in Nigeria: 245 new, 7261, China 114 cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease(NCDC) has confirmed 245 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 7261.
Out of the 7261 cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, 2007 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged while 221 others could not make it alive.
But a breakdown of the 245 new cases of the Coronavirus in Nigeria shows that 131 new cases were found in Lagos, 16 in Jigawa, 13 in Ogun, 12 in Borno, 9 in Kaduna, 9 in Oyo, 9 in Rivers, 9 in Ebonyi, 8 in Kano, 7 in Kwara, 5 in Katsina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 3 in Sokoto, 2 in Bauchi, 2 in Yobe,1 in Adamawa, 1 in Gombe, 1 in Niger, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Plateau, 1 in Abuja and 1 in Bayelsa State.

Globally, there are currently 5, 180, 982 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the world, while 336, 432 patients have passed on based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins Univeristy, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States still tops the list of nations most affected by the pandemic in terms of total population affected and total number of deaths.
The United States now has 1, 598, 631 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 95, 847 patients have died, followed by Russia, which has reported a total of 326, 448 confirmed cases of the virus with 3, 249 deaths.

Following Russia closely is Brazil, which has recorded 310,087 confirmed cases, while 20,047 patients have passed on.
The United Kingdom which has not moved into the forth most affected country in the world based on total number of confirmed cases has recorded a total of 255, 541 infections, while 36, 475 patients have died, followed by Spain, which currently has 234, 824 confirmed cases with 28, 628 deaths, followed by Italy with 228, 658 confirmed cases and 32, 616 deaths.
China, where the Coronavirus pandemic started has a total of 84,081 confirmed cases, 4,638 deaths, while 79, 329 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving China with 114 cases.
