Coronavirus in Nigeria: 226 dead, 7839, Brazil now 2nd most affected
LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) as confirmed 313 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of Coronavirus in Nigeria to 7839 cases.
But out of the 7839 cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, 2268 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, while 226 others could not make it alive.
However, a breakdown of the new cases of Coronavirus revealed that 148 new cases were found in Lagos, 36 in Abuja, 27 in Rivers, 19 in Edo, 13 in Kano, 12 in Ogun, 11 in Ebonyi, 8 in Nasarawa, 8 in Delta, 7 in Oyo, 6 in Plateau, 5 in Kaduna, 4 in Kwara, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 3 in Bayelsa, 2 in Niger and 1 in Anambra.

Globally, there are 5, 380, 774 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 343, 880 deaths based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States still leads among the most affected countries in terms of population affected and the total number of deaths.
The United States currently has 1, 640, 630 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 97, 672 patients have died, now followed by Brazil which has shut into the second most affected country in the world in terms of population affected.
Brazil has reported 347, 398 confirmed cases with 22, 013 deaths, followed by Russia, which has reported 344, 481 confirmed cases with 3, 541deaths, followed by United Kingdom which currently has 260, 916 confirmed cases of Coronavirus while 36, 875 patients could not make it alive.
Next is Spain, with 235, 772 confirmed cases, while 28, 752 patients have died, followed by Italy with 229,858 confirmed cases with 32, 785 deaths. China where the pandemic started has a total of 84,084 confirmed cases, 4,638 deaths, while 79, 338 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving China with just 108 cases.
