The two kinds of people your dream likely attracts
LAGOS, Nigeria – If you are a dreamer, there are lot of lessons for you to learn in the book of Mathew chapter 2.
Your dream will attract 2 kinds of people
I. Destiny helpers:
Mathew 2vs 10-11:- When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
2. Destiny destroyers:
Mathew 2vs 1-3:- After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
Mathew 2vs 16: When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.
Why on earth will a newborn baby’s glory become a threat to a big king who is already established and famous?
Atleast the boy is still young and if he was destined to be a king, it will still take the young boy some years for such a dream to come to past.
Your dream is a threat to some people.
Have you ever wondered why some big men or established business owners don’t want to help many start-up business owners? most times it’s because they see such businesses as a threat to their own business.
There are pastors who will never allow other pastors under them to shine especially if those pastors under them are good, talented or anointed.
– There are destiny destroyers in many families too.
Genesis 37vs 5:- Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more.
Genesis 37vs20:- “Come now, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we’ll see what comes of his dreams.”
Joseph brothers wanted to kill him just because of his dreams.
God is a great God, he will always bring destiny helpers your way to help you in all situations. Everything you are going through is meant to make you better and bigger. Every opposition to your dream is for your up-position.
Another thing you need to understand is that, having a good dream that will change the world for good, does not mean you won’t face attack. infact you will face more attacks because of your great dreams.
Many may be attacked because of your dream.
Mathew 2vs 16:- When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.
Herod ordered that all children who were from 2 years old and below should be killed just because he wanted to kill Jesus. He believed by doing so, Jesus would be killed in the process. many innocent children were killed just because of one person’s Glory.
Destiny destroyers will do anything possible to kill your dreams. if they can’t get you, your family, friends, even innocent people may be their next target. the plan is to do everything possible in order to stop your dreams. Keep your focus and believe in God, you will come out better.
It is not all battles you should fight.
Mathew 2vs13:- When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”
You need to understand that it is not all battles you should fight. If God could command Joseph to take Jesus to Egypt for some time, you need to learn that some battles are meant to be ignored, because God is in control.
If you use all your energy to fight your opposition, you won’t have the strength to focus on your dream. Jesus achieved his dream, likewise Joseph your dreams are “very” valid.
