MACBAN leader tells Muslims to adhere to directives on Coronavirus
ONITSHA, Anambra – As Muslims faithfuls Join their counterparts all over the world to commence the 2020 Ramadan fasting today, South East zonal chairman of Miyatti Allah Cattle Breaders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Gidado Sadiku has enjoined members to adhere strickly to government directives on measures to stop spread of the pandemic in Nigeria.
Gidado who spoke to our reporter yesterday said the Coronavirus is a global disaster that everyone has responsibility to stop it.
According to him, it is the responsibility of government and doctors to tell citizens what to do adding that they have told the people what to do and that every body must obey to stop the spread of the ravaging disease.
“We must keep personal hygiene,wash our hands regularly, distance ourselves from one another and stop any activity that could make us mingle in the large crowd” he said.
Gidado said that the coronavirus is real, and that everybody must endeavour to obey all instructions from experts to stop the spread of the pandemic for the good of humanity.

He said that they have been using their structures in the organisation to pass information to their members on how to live safe within this period, urging his members and Nigerians to stay safe by avoiding situations that could encourages spread of the pandemic.
According to him, during every Ramadan fasting,they normally organise Ramadan lectures and congragational prayers and eating to gether, but this time it is not possible because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
He said they cannot encourage congregational prayers,eating together and others that brings large crowd of people together, until when the disease disappeared.
The south east zonal chairman also called on Muslim faithfuls all over the world to use the Ramadan period to pray to Allah His mercy so that the sickness will disappear from the face of the earth.
