COVID-19: Police detain Naira Marley
LAGOS, Nigeria – The police has detained Nigerian music rave of the moment, Abdulazeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley. In a statement, Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Bala Nkana said the police is holding Naira Marley in custody for violating Social Distancing Act of Lagos State.
The police said Naira Marley will be charged too court soon.
Naira Marley was arrested for his presence at the home of Nollywood star, Funke Akindele who yesterday held birthday bash in her home at Amen Estate, Lekki during the lockdown.
Already Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband have been convicted and sentenced to 14 day community service.

Funke Akindele had already explained why Naira Marley was at the home of the Nollywood star. The Nollywood star said Naira Marley was in her home before President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the lockdown as part of effort to halt spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Nollywood star said, Naira Marley decided to stay back since he loved the environment and to work on the sound track of a particular project that featured the musical prodigy.
