Co-Chair COVID-19 Task Force, others test positive
KANO, Nigeria – Co-Chairman of the COVID-19 Task Force in Kano State has tested positive to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Co-chairman and three others in the task force tested positive to the virus after a test was conducted on members.
Kano State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa who announced the development in Kano also maintained that the number of #COVID-19 confirmed cases in the state as at 11:15 am today Friday remains 21 with a single death.

The Kano State Ministry of Health and government, therefore, advised the general public to maintain SocialDistancing, avoid overcrowding and stay at home to keep safe as it continues to take measures to contain the spread of the disease in the state.
“However, Dr. Tsanyawa, with a deep sense of sadness and on behalf of the @KanostateNg hereby announces that the Co-Chairman and some members of Kano State Taskforce on #Covid_19 were tested and three of the results came out positive of the Corona Virus disease”, the Kano State Government said in a statement.
