How Buhari risked the health of Nigerians to protect his family – Omokri
LAGOS, Nigeria – Mr. Reno Omokri, aide to former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of selfishness and putting the interest of his family ahead of national interest.
Reno Omokri alleged that the reason President Muhammadu Buhari delayed in restricting flights to Nigeria even after the Italian was diagnosed for COVID-19 by Nigerian Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) was because doing so will mean denying his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari who has now tested positive to COVID-19 pandemic and his daughter who is now in self isolation entry into Nigeria.
According to Omokri, Buhari refused to restrict flight until his daughter and Abba Kyari returned from the UK. He said Buhari placed flight restrictions three weeks after the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar advised Buhari to do so.

Besides, he said Buhari imposed the restrictions on the day they(Abba Kyari and his daughter) arrived and that the President deliberately risked the health of Nigerians to protect his family, stressing that the President dis is not leadership but SELFISHNESS!
Reno Omokri however commended Atiku Abubakar who called for flight restriction even when his son was still in the UK.
“Even when Atiku Abubakar knew that his son was abroad, he called for closing down Nigeria’s borders to protect other citizens on February 28, 2020. That is LEADERSHIP.

“General Buhari refused to restrict flights UNTIL his daughter and Abba Kyari returned. He only did it 3 weeks after Atiku publicly called for it. Investigate it.
