COVID-19: Nigeria places Visa ban on US, UK, 11 others

ABUJA, Nigeria – Nigeria has placed VISA ban on thirteen countries following the onslaught of the Coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic which has paralysed advanced economies allover the world.
Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad made the revelation on his twitter page.
According to him, the affected countries are China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, Norway, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Netherlands and Switzerland.

The president according to him also ordered immediate closure of ongoing NYSC orientation camps as part of efforts to stem the spread of the Coronavirus, COVID-19. As at March 17, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria has risen to three, all people coming from Italy and the United Kingdom.

So far, a total of 180, 159 cases have been reported worldwide, with death currently standing at 7,103 as at March 17, 2020. There are 4,661 cases of COVID-19 in the United States with 85 deaths.
In Italy, 27, 980 cases have been reported with 2,158 deaths while 1,543, cases have been reported in United Kingdom with 55 deaths.
