COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 14 new cases as 20, 947 die globally
LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 14 fresh cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 65.
According to the NCDC, breakdown of the 14 new cases showed that 2 cases were found in Abuja and 12 new cases in Lagos.
The NCDC said 6 of the 12 cases in Lagos were detected aboard a vessel, 3 of them are travellers returning to Nigeria, while one is a close contact of a confirmed case.
An additional one person has been discharged by the NCDC bringing the total number of those discharged to 3.

Meanwhile the COVID-19 pandemic has been spreading exponetially in the United States and Europe.
Globally, there are 467, 710 cases and 20, 947 deaths. Italy is currently leading the chart wit 74,386 case reported and over 7,505 deaths.
China has 81,847 cases with 3, 287 deaths, Spain has 39, 673 cases of COVID-19 with 2,696 deaths. In the United States, there are currently 69,194 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1,050 deaths. See details of global charts here
