Ban on motorcycles: Koku foundation rescues GOLADS rider with Toyota
LAGOS, Nigeria – A lady who goes by the name Sandra is one of the greatest beneficiary of the enforcement of the law banning commercial motorcycles and tricycles in Lagos.
Sandra worked for GOLADS as a rider but became discouraged following the enforcement. She was a student at Yabatech and was using money from her commercial operation to pay her school fees and cater for her family.
But on Tuesday, kokunfoundation did the unimaginable and surprised her with a Toyota Corolla. She is to use the vehicle for Uber now that she can no longer sustain herself operating commercial motorcycle in Lagos.
Speaking on the donation, CEO Kokun Foundation, Chinonso Okoye said, “I have seen Sandra who ride go lads who collected as Hire purchase but unfortunately she can’t drive it again due to government ban!
“But, God as prove himself, Today we Dash sandra a new Toyota Corolla 2004 for Uber to sustain her to feed herself, family and also use it to send her self to school in Yabatech!”, he said.
Speaking further, he said, “My People let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions!
“My brothers and Sisters, We should not live in the kind of world where we don’t look out for each other!
“Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand!
Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier!
“May I suggest that it be creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of mankind!”, he said. Watch video of the presentation here
