All this coming out after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made up their minds to step back from their royal duties as seniors. There are reports that it has not been very rosy for the couple since they got married.

We gathered that relations have broken down completely between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the family.

Speaking on Sky News, Mirror Political Editor, Kevin Maguire said he has known for some time that the relationship between the brothers had deteriorated.

“It now seems communication has declined across board. It’s important to remember we don’t have the full picture as to what happened behind the scenes”, adding that the true reason for the fall out “couldn’t be discussed for legal reasons”.

Besides, there are reports that the past two years has been the most painful for Prince Harry and Meghan and it appears they could no longer stomach the troubles hence they decided to take a walk by stepping back from their royal responsibilities as seniors.

In their letter to the Queen of England, Prince Harry and Meghan said they took the decision to step back after many months of reflection and internal discussions.

“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family, and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment”, the couple said.

They explained plans to balance their time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour their duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and “our patronages”, hoping to share details of what they intend to do in the coming week in their quest to become financially independent.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family, and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.

“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.

“We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge, and all relevant parties.

“Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.”
