Sadio Mane, Asisat Oshoala shine at CAF 2019 awards
CAIRO, Egypt – The Confederation of African Football(CAF) on Tuesday night in Cairo, Egypt named two most spectacular players for the year 2019.
CAF picked Senegalese and Liverpool striker, Sadio Mane as African Player of the Year, while Asisat Oshoala who plays for Nigeria and Barcelona female team emerged African Women’s Player of the Year 2019.
They were picked from votes cast across Africa. The Algerian striker, Riyad Mahrez emerged winner of the best goal for the year 2019, while the Algerian men’s team was named Best Men’s National Team.
The Algerian national team coach, Djamel Belmadi also emerged Africa’s Men’s Coach of the year.
Cameroon won the Best African Women National team, while Desiree Ellis of South Africa emerged Best African Women’s Coach for the year.
