Nigeria Air Force rescues conjoined twins in Port Harcourt

PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria – The Nigerian Air Force today came to the rescue of a conjoined twins by airlifting the twins as a humanitarian gesture.
According to the Air Force, the set of conjoined twins were airlifted along with their parents and medical team to Yola, via Port Harcourt, River State.
They were airlifted with helicopter and fixed wing transport aircraft to Yola where they are espected to undergo surgery at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola.
According to the Nigerian Air Force, the twins were joined at the abdomen.
“The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) today, 2 January 2020, airlifted a set of conjoined twins along with their parents and medical team from Yenagoa to Yola via Port Harcourt by helicopter and fixed wing transport aircraft.
“The twins, who are joined at the abdomen, are expected to undergo surgery at the Federal Medical Centre in Yola.
“The NAF undertook the airlift as a humanitarian gesture to aid the family of the twins. The entire NAF family prays for the success of their operation”, the Nigerian Air Force said.
