LAGOS, Nigeria – Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Union(NURTW), Alhaji Musliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo is today celebrating January 8, being one year that he miraculously escaped death.
MC Oluomo was stabbed in the neck with a poisonous knife at a rally organised by the All Progressive Congress(APC) at the Skypower Ground, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
MC Oluomo who was initially rumoured to be dead was later flown abroad where he was successfully treated. Writing on anniversary of the incident, MC Oluomo thanked Allah for sparing his life.
“There are no words that can possibly express my profound thanks to Almighty Allah for making me a living a soul today. Today: January 8, 2020 makes it exactly one year that I was stabbed with a poisonous object. The wielder of the object and his cohorts had only one motive and that was to murder me in cold blood”, he said, adding that those who orchestrated the plan failed.
“Looking back at that fateful day and the subsequent happenings that followed I cannot but appreciate a man of many paths that has genuinely taken me as a son. I am referring to no other person than His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. My appreciation also goes to the entire members of Lagos State House of Assembly, APC Lagos State Executives and entire party members”, he said.
MC Oluomo who has obviously learnt bitter from the experience, said reminiscing at the events before and after the incident, he is left with no option but be an advocate of peace and implore everyone to love one another and avoid violence at all cost.
“I strongly advise everyone to promote peaceful coexistence amongst ourselves. Peace, love and harmony should be our watch word. An environment devoid of violence will lead to steady economic growth and development.
“We all have to give the gift of love to one another. We have to let it sit in our hearts and fully enjoy it. The gift of love is like a flowing river, the more you give, the more you get”, he said.

There are no words that can possibly express my profound thanks to Almighty Allah for making me a living a soul today.
Today: January 8, 2020 makes it exactly one year that I was stabbed with a poisonous object. The wielder of the object and his cohorts had only one motive and that was to murder me in cold blood.
Their nefarious plans almost succeeded but for the grace of God and the timely intervention of people with a good heart. I indeed had a glimpse into the land of the dead before I was recalled.
Looking back at that fateful day and the subsequent happenings that followed I cannot but appreciate a man of many paths that has genuinely taken me as a son. I am referring to no other person than His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. My appreciation also goes to the entire members of Lagos State House of Assembly, APC Lagos State Executives and entire party members.
I appreciate the doctors and entire staff of Eko Hospital for their prompt response and professional conducts, Nigerian law Enforcement Agencies for swiftly going after the perpetrators. My gratitude will not be completed without appreciating entire Nigerians both home and abroad for their relentless prayers and support. If words could be transformed to a hug, I would send you loads of them.
Reminiscing at the events before and after the incident, I could not but be an advocate of peace and implore everyone to love one another and avoid violence at all cost.

Every life is a story, thank you all for being part of my story. ERU N DUPE
