Japanese billionaire, Yusaku Maezawa seeks lover for space trip
JAPAN – Japanese billionaire, Yusaku Maezawa who is single is searching for love. The Japanese billionaire who is now worth USD 3.6 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index has gone public, calling on ladies interested to turn in their application.
The prospective candidate, according to Yusaku Maezawa must be beautiful, single in her 20s and must be ready to enjoy life to the fullest. The successful lady will travel with him to the moon. The expedition will be filmed for a tv show.
The Japanese billion who is now 44 will make the lunar trip in 2023 as the first private passenger by entrepreneur Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Application deadline is Friday, January 17, 2020.
“I have lived exactly as I’ve wanted to until now,” Maezawa said, adding “I have a passion for collecting contemporary art, Japanese antiques, supercars, wine etc. Some people know me for purchasing J.M.Basquiat’s $110 million painting. I will be the first civilian to fly around the moon on @SpaceX’s Starship rocket, scheduled to launch in 2023”, he said on twitter.
Born in Japan, Yusaku Maezawa attended a high school in Japan, “after I made my rock band debut”, he said of himself. The Japanese billionaire then founded a fashion company called EC ‘ZOZOTOWN’, listed on the TSE. It gained a market worth of US$15 billion but in Sept. 2019, he sold it to Softbank Group and stepped down as CEO.
“My net worth is now US$2 billion (Forbe)”, he said, adding that he agreed to the idea due to loneliness in middle age.
