EFCC gets nod to detain Adoke for another 14 days

ABUJA, Nigeria – A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has given the go ahead for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) to detain former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke for another 14 days in preparation for his arraignment.
The EFCC arrested Mohammed Adoke on December 19, 2019, upon his arrival from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Justice A.O. Musa granted the application on Thursday, January 2, 2019.
In granting the application, the judge stated that “the extension of the remand of the respondent for another 14 days for the purpose of his arraignment in court is necessary and granted as prayed.” .
