OWERRI, Imo, Nigeria – These are not the best of times for popular Nigerian musician, Duncan Mighty. His life is in danger. We gathered that the Port Harcourt boy was beaten to pulp and abducted by unknown gunmen in Owerri, Imo State.
Chiefpriest, Cubana shared the news of the kidnap of Duncan Mighty on the social media when he said, “Duncan Mighty beaten and picked up by unknown gunmen in Owerri after numerous gunshots. Pray for Duncan Mighty”, he said.
It is not clear what would have led to his present travails. But in October, Duncan Mighty posted in the social media that his life was in danger after receiving money former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha to help to produce and market an upcoming artiste.
In that post, Duncan Mighty particularly pleaded with the former Imo Governor to collect his money back and let him be.
Born October 28, 1983, Duncan Mighty hails from Obio-Akpor, Rivers State. He debuted musically in 2008 with Koliwater, a 22-track album which was a commercial success.
The album featured songs such as Ijeoma, Scatter my Dada and others. His second album, Ahamefuna was released two year later in 2010 with 15 tracks.
