NAF destroys ISWAP terrorists’ hideout at Arrinna Ciki

LAKE CHAD, Nigeria – The Air Task Force Of Operation LAFIYA DOLE says it has recorded another major feat with the destruction of an Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP Terrorists’ hideout and neutralised some of their fighters at Arrinna Ciki on the fringes of the Lake Chad in the Northern part of Borno State.
A Statement by the Director Of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said the feat was accomplished through air strikes following intelligence reports indicating that the terrorists were using the settlement as a staging area to launch attacks against forces.
The operation was executed following intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission that spotted some ISWAP vehicles under some trees in the area. The statement said fighter jets were despatched to attack the location, recording successful strikes to immobilise the vehicles.
According to Daramola, a follow-up attack was executed on November 2nd, 2019, after significant activity was observed in another part of the settlement
The statement concluded by saying the Nigerian Air Force, which is operating in collaboration with ground forces, is sustaining efforts to completely destroy all remnants of the terrorists in the Northeast.
