Ugochukwu Ohaja bags outstanding public service award from Anambra NUJ

An illustrious son of Obizi, Hon Bright Ugochukwu Ohaja has received an Outstanding Public Service Award from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra State Council in recognition of his outstanding services to mankind

AWKA, Imo, Nigeria – An illustrious son of Obizi in Ezinihite Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state, Hon Bright Ugochukwu Ohaja has received an Outstanding Public Service Award from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra State Council in recognition of his outstanding services to mankind.

Presenting the award at the 2019 Media Summit held at Godwin Ezeemo Press Centre Awka, the Chairman of the council Comrade Emmanuel Ifesinachi said Hon Ohaja had distinguished himself from all walks of life especially in the public service.

He noted that the event was packaged to recognise Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour while contributing to national development.

Responding, the awardee Hon Ugochukwu Ohaja appreciated Anambra NUJ for the honour done him and promised to double his efforts in his service to humanity and the union. He however condemned the high rate of injustice in Nigeria and urged the media to use their instruments of pen to expose social injustice being pepetrated in the country expecially in the judiciary.

“It is only when you expose these injustice in the judiciary expecially in the aspect of compromised judgments that the society can be a better for living”.

Hon. Ugochukwu Bright Ohaja is the former Senior Special Adviser to the Acting Chairman, Nigeria Civil Service Commission, Dr Chimobi Ozichi Odunze.

He acquired much knowledge and had attended many local and International seminars in Seoul, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, Germany, New Delhi (India), London and United States of America.

Other awardees include the Public Relations Officer of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Mr Obini Onuchukwu who bagged Most Outstanding Tertiary Institution Protocol/PR Person (National), Chief Walter Ndubuisi Chigbo (Chinyelugo 2) was invested as Patron of NUJ, Anambra state Council.
