Nollywood queen, Chika Ike speaks on childhood memories

LAGOS, Nigeria- Pretty Nollywood actress, Chika Ike has opened up on her childhood memories of how she was treated as a result of her beauty.

The actress, one of the most dashing in Nollywood said she was bullied growing up and that she never saw herself as a beautiful person because of some people who were personally disturbed and drew strength from making others feel bad about themselves.

She explained that as she grew older, she started appreciating her unique beauty and understanding what beauty really means “because I got to understand our definition of beauty differs from one another”, she said.

She believes that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that what she sees as beautiful might not necessarily be another’s definition beauty.

“Beauty runs deeper than the superficial while to others it’s the superficial, some it’s confidence, some it’s naivety and to some its more of the intellectual type of beauty and it goes on and on . With this findings I came to the conclusion that beauty is in the eye of whoever is beholding it as the saying goes”, she said.
