Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo declares assets worth over N50 billion at CCB
IBADAN, Oyo, Nigeria – Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde is worth over N50 billion in and asset besides cash. The governor who made public his assets declaration form, called on interested members of the public to verify it at the Code of Conduct Bureau,CCB.
Seyi Makinde made the declaration when he personally visited the CCB office in Ibadan where he received a copy of the asset declaration form he submitted earlier.
He told reporters that the decision to make public his assets was in fulfillment of a personal promise he made during the elections and to give Nigerians the basis to crosscheck when he finished serving the state as governor.
According to the CCB 1 deposited with the bureau, declared at the High Court of Oyo State, on May 28, 2019, indicated that the Governor is worth about N50billion in assets.
Marked OYSE/2019/001, the governor gave details of his bank accunts, landed properties. The governor also has shares and bonds owed jointly by him and his wife Omini Makinde as well as his companies.
According to details of the asset form made public by the Chief Press Secretary to Makinde, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the Governor of Oyo State has cash at hand and in the bank worth N234, 742,296.01, as at May 28, 2019 and $30,056.99 as at the same date.
