LONDON, UK – A  police officer with the London Metropolitan Police, DS Wickens  has been sacked for inappropriate behaviour with a female colleague while on duty.

DS Wickens was dismissed  after conclusion of a misconduct hearing. He was alleged to have behaved in a physically inappropriate manner towards a female colleague on two separate occasions, the Met Police said in a statement.

A serving police officer has been dismissed without notice following the conclusion of a misconduct hearing.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Wickens, attached to the South Area Command Unit, was dismissed after the hearing concluded on Friday, 14 June.

The panel found that DS Wickens had breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of ‘authority, respect and courtesy’ and ‘discreditable conduct’.

It is alleged that while on duty, DS Wickens behaved in a physically inappropriate manner towards a female colleague on two separate occasions.

The allegations against DS Wickens were proven as gross misconduct.The panel gave a sanction of a dismissal without notice.
