MINNA, Niger, Nigeria – Former Nigeria’s military dictator, General Ibrahim Babagida is angry that Nigerians tag him a bad man for annulling the June 12 Presidential election believed to have been won by the late Chief MKO Abiola.
IBB who spoke from Minna via the social media said people describe him as a bad man even when they did not know the reasons behind annulment of the election.
Besides, he is angry that he is not even praised for conducting the freest and fairest election in the history of Nigeria.
“I don’t get any praises for conducting the freest and fairest election in the history of Nigeria; a lot of people didn’t know the reasons behind the actions we took, but today, IBB is the bad man”, he said in series of tweet.
According to IBB, people who call him enemy of Nigeria forget so soon that no administration created more jobs than he has done, and that no administration created more rural and urban roads than his administration did and that no administration reduced poverty to the minimum standard the way his administration did.
“People who calls me the enemy of this nation forgot the fact that no administration created more jobs than we did in our regime, no administration created more rural and urban roads than we did, no administration reduced poverty to the minimum standard than we did”, he said.
