TUC mourns death of Deputy President, Comrade F.O Johnson
LAGOS, Nigeria – The Trade Union Congress(TUC) today announced the passage of its Deputy President, Comrade F.O. Johnson, whom the union described as a christian father and an embodiment of grace.
In a statement, General secretary, TUC, Comrade Musa-Lawal Ozigi said Comrade F.O Johnson died this morning after a brief illness.
“With a heavy heart we announce the untimely death of Comrade Francis Olabode Johnson, 3rd Deputy President of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) and National President of PENGASSAN.
“He died early this morning of Friday 31st May 2019 at National Hospital Abuja, after a brief illness.

“Comrade Johnson was a labour leader of note, a Christian and a father. He was an embodiment of grace. He would be sorely missed by the Congress, co-workers and friends”, he said.
