EKITI, Nigeria – Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has sacked some staff of College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti. Those sacked were officers promoted from level 14 to 15 and those promoted from level 15 upward.
They were all promoted by former governor of the state, Mr. Ayo Fayose before the end of his tenure. Aide to the former governor, Lere Olayinka made the revelation on the social media.
All the affected staffs received their terminal letter today in Ekiti. We gathered that workers union in the College of Education has scheduled an emergency congress for tomorrow Tuesday to deliberate on the issue.
“Fayemi has SACKED all Staff of College of Education, Ikere Ekiti who got promoted from Level 14 to 15 as well as those on Level 15 and above. The affected staff received their sack letter today.
“Workers Unions in the College of Education to hold emergency congress tomorrow”, he said.
