Tanesha Melbourne-Blake’s murder: Police arrests 5th suspect
LONDON, U.K – Detectives investigating the murder of 17-year-old Tanesha Melbourne-Blake in Haringey have made a fifth arrest. Tanesha Melbourne-Blake was fatally shot in Charlgrove Road, N17 on 2 April 2018. She was killed near Northumberland Park in Tottenham at about 21:35 on 2 April 2018 as she walked with friends.
Police said in a statement that a 26-year-old man [E] was arrested in the early hours of Friday on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody at a north London police station.
The police have asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact the incident room on 020 8358 0100 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
There have been four previous arrests as part of the investigation. “A 31-year-old man [A] was arrested on suspicion of murder on 6 April 2018. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries. An 18-year-old man [B] and a 22-year-old man [C] were arrested on Thursday, 14 March, on suspicion of murder. The 18-year-old has subsequently been released under investigation.
“The 22-year-old has been released on bail until early-June. Also a 50-year-old man [D] was also arrested on Monday, 25 March on suspicion of murder – he has been released under investigation”, the police said.
