Buhari in closed door meeting with security chiefs, governors
ABUJA, Nigeria – After his death threats to would-be snatchers of ballot boxes during the 2019 general election, President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned Service Chiefs and governors of the All Progressive Congress(APC) to a closed door meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
At the meeting are all service chiefs, Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shetima, that of Adamawa State, Mohammed Jubrilla Bindow among others.
Buhari is holding the meeting just a day after he proclaimed death on would-be snatchers of ballot boxes.
“Anybody who decides to snatch boxes or lead thugs to disturb the election, may be that would be the last unlawful action you would take. I have given the military and police the order to be ruthless. I am going to warn anybody who thinks he would lead a body of thugs in his locality to snatch boxes or to disturb the voting system; he would do it at the expense of his/her own life”, he said.
