SEOUL, South Korea – President African Development Bank(AFDB) Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina was today honoured with the  SunHak Peace Prize in Seoul, South Korea.

The SunHak Peace Prize was established to continue the legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon. Akinwunmi who was former Minister for Agriculture brought innovation into agriculture in Nigeria.

“Nominations may be submitted from any among 1,000 qualified nominators around the world, representing a wide range of fields and areas of professional expertise, and representing diverse geographical, cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds”, says Wikipedia.

Specifically, the Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, Piece Prize is presented to individuals and organisations in recognition of those that have made enduring contributions to help resolve worldwide suffering, conflict, poverty and threats to the environment, by promoting a comprehensive, future-oriented vision of peace.
