Trump concedes to Speaker Pelosi, looks forward to state of the union address in the future
WASHINGTON, United States – President Donald Trump of the United States has decided not to look for alternative venue for the annual State of the Union Address(SOTU). The President spoke via tweeter in reaction to Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s letter, telling the president that he will not be allowed to read his annual SOTU until government opens.
Trump had shutdown government #TrumpShutdown, following refusal by congress to approve $6 billion Dollars to build a wall over Mexico to protect Americans.
He had in his election campaign said that Mexico, a sovereign nation will be forced to pay for the cost of building the wall. Trump resorted to congress when Mexico rebuffed him and he decided to shutdown government, making federal workers to work without pay in the last two weeks.
The State of the Union Address was scheduled for January 29 but has been shifted indefinitely pending when government would open.
But in his tweets, Trump said there is no …alternative venue for the SOTU Address because there is no venue that can compete with the history, tradition and importance of the House Chamber, he said, adding “I look forward to giving a “great” State of the Union Address in the near future!’.
Trump said the American economy is doing great, adding that more people currently working in U.S.A. today than at any time in ‘our HISTORY’. Media barely covers!
“This is everything FDR dreamed about, the New Deal to put America back to work. Think of LBJ, he gave people food stamps & welfare. Donald Trump’s giving them a job. He’s got a lot of good things to talk about. News stories do not accurately cover him, should correct.”
“A great new book just out, “Game of Thorns,” by Doug Wead, Presidential Historian and best selling author. The book covers the campaign of 2016, and what could be more exciting than that?”, he said on Tweeter.
