BOHM hails Aisha Buhari, Bolanle Ambode over Ibadan APC rally
LAGOS, Nigeria – The Buhari Osinbajo Hope Movement (BOHM), has lauded the wife of the president, Hajiya Aisha Buhari; wife of Lagos state governor, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode and other governors wives who stormed Ibadan, Oyo state, for the South West Women and Youth Presidential campaign rally.
Speaking at the rally, which held in Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, the national coordinator of Buhari Osinbajo Hope Movement, Mr. Seyi Bamigbade, commended them for the zeal they brought into the political arena by identifying the significant role of women and youth in political campaigns and also factoring them into the presidential campaign.
He said Aisha Buhari, who was represented by wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, has demonstrated her moral probity as the conscience of the country, by speaking out when necessary, even though it affects her immediate family.
Seyi said, ‘’BOHM has covered all segments of voters in all the units across the country and had since adopted door-to-door campaign strategy across the country.’’
According to him, the Buhari Osinbajo Hope Movement joined President Muhammadu Buhari in campaign in 2015 because of the laudable empowerment programmes the All Progressives Congress planned for Nigerians, which will take them to the ‘Next Level’.
He said, “These programmes are now being implemented by the FG through the office of the vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and we don’t want a stop to such laudable programmes that would lift many Nigerians out of poverty.”
He urged women and youth across the country to vote for Buhari and other APC candidates at all levels.
Bamigbade described Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, as a role model and shining star in political firmament, saying, “Mrs. Bolanle Ambode is a detribalised Nigerian who has traversed the length and breadth, helping less-privileged people, seeking the emancipation of women and the youths for an egalitarian society through her pet project, Hope for Women in Nigeria Initiative, (HOFOWEM).”
Also speaking at the rally, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode assured the president that Nigerians will deliver more votes for him come February 16.
She said the APC-led government had executed laudable projects in the country, saying the electorate would no doubt re-elect the party in the subsequent elections.
She appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the president in the presidential election as they did in 2015, in order to sustain the Buhar’s initiated social intervention programmes in the country.
According to her, Buhari has been and is still very much committed to the Nigerian project – geared towards lifting the country to greater heights where all categories of Nigerians will live a meaningful life.
