ADO EKITI, Nigeria – Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has offered to submit himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission(EFCC) at 1pm on October 16, 2018.




In a letter addressed to the commission, Fayose who has been very reticient since his party was defeated at the governorship poll, said the EFCC has severally instituted actions against him by freezing his personal account and seeking temporary forfeiture of his property, stressing that the development is indicative of the commission’s desire to clarify issues relating to him but for immunity which Section 308 of the 1999 constitution confers on his office.

“I wish to inform you that my term of office purshant to which I enjoy immunity against prosecution and investigation under the above provision shall lapse by effuxion of time on Monday, October 15, 2018.

“As a responsible citizen of our great country who believes in the rule of law, I wish to inform you of my decision to make myself available in your office, on Tuesday, 16th October, 2018 at 1 pm to clarify issues or answer questions within my knowledge”, he said.
