Nigeria’s Nollywood actress, Shan George is in New York having a nice time. Shan George who has featured in dozens of films and soaps among which is (Winds of Destiny, After the Storm, soaps), (Thorns of Rose and All for Winnie, films )and currently works in Nollywood as producer and director was desirous of a refresher course and sauntered into the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Film Center in New York.

But Shan George simply took to her heels after relevant inquiry. You won’t believe what she was told. The actress cum director said on the social media that she was told that her course of study is USD 70,000(about 25 million) per semester of 3 months.

This amount is more than enough for her to shoot an average film in Nigeria and in the United States. See how she responded when the reality hit her.

“I went there first, and was told d Film School Cost 70k dollars per semester. I simply 🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃😅😅😅😅😅. Who dash monkey! 😭😭😭😭”, she said on instagram. Nevertheless, she is having fun visiting places of interest in the U.S.

Shan George started acting in 1997 when she featured in the soap opera titled Winds of Destiny. She is best known for her role in Outkast and Welcome to Nollywood. She has been in and out of marriages without any success.

So far she has married twice and it has not been easy for her and she said in an interview with Thisday that it is really complicated, though wonderful.

The Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Film Center is a state-of-the-art screening center for New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts that trains practitioners of the motion picture industry.
