KANO, Nigeria – The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Professor Hafiz Abubakar, elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC) has crossed over to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
The deputy governor announced his defection to PDP today, leaving only his principal, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in the APC.
“Breaking News! The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Professor Hafiz Abubakar has also dumped the All Progressive Congress (APC), @APCNigeria and has defected to the @OfficialPDPNig. PDP! Power to the people”, PDP announced.
Meanwhile, the PDP has slated a meeting of the National Executive Committee(NEC for Thursday, August 02, 2018.
“This is to inform all members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), that the 81st Meeting of the NEC will hold as follows: Date: Thursday, August 2, 2018 Venue: PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja. Time: 12:00Pm Please attend PDP! Power to the people”, the party said.
