NFF PROBES VIDEO ALLEGATION OF BRIBE BY SALISU YUSUF
ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) has said it has began investigation into bribe allegedly offered to NFF Second Vice President, Mr. Salisu Yusuf.
In the video which went viral on the social media, the NFF man was alleged to have received bribe from one of the footballers to get a place in the national team.
But Friday that it has noted some media reports arising from a BBC documentary involving the Chief Coach of the Senior Men National Team, Super Eagles, Mr. Salisu Yusuf. He was alleged to have described the $1000 he received as a gift and not bribe.
The video footage, exposed for the first time, was captured by controversial Ghanaian investigative journalist @anasglobal and recently handed to #BBCAfricaEye.
“For now, the NFF has commenced preliminary investigation into the matter to assist the Committee on Ethics and Fairplay,” NFF’s Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, said, in a statement.
This is the first time the NFF is issuing statement on the alleged bribe.
