FRANCE BEATS CROATIA 4-2 TO LIFT FIFA WORLD CUP IN RUSSIA 2018
MOSCOW, Russia – France today beat Croatia 4-2 to lift the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. It was another thriller after the classic encounter between France and Belgium at the quarter final stage.

France took the lead in the 18 minutes when Mario Mandzukic found the back of the net. Croatia equalised 10 minutes later in the 28 minutes through Ivan Perisic through an assist from Domago Vida. Antoine Griezemann made it 2-1 for France and that was the scores by half time.
France came in more determined to increase the tally in the second half. The chance finally came in the 59th minutes when Paul Pogba found the net to make it 3-1 for France. Croatia was yet to settle down when Kylian Mbappe made it 4-1 for France with assist from Lucas Hernandez in the 65th minutes.
Croatia pulled one goal back in the 69th minutes through Mario Mandzukic. The scores notwithstanding, Croatia had ball possession in its favor with 61 percent against France with 39 percent. Croatia had 8 shots on target as against 6 by France.
